Days 2, 3, 4 & 5: Cariboo Wilderness Explorer
Set out the next morning with your car and driver for a glorious journey (five to six hours) up the Fraser Canyon to Siwash Lake Wilderness Resort. The scenery that unfolds as you depart Vancouver is a lesson in beauty: rolling hills give way to river valleys, culminating in a mountain bluff panorama. Fir, Pine, and Poplar trees sway and beckon to the resort’s secluded site. Upon arrival, Allyson and her team offer a warm welcome. Settle in and soak up the serene surroundings. Your first night’s meal will be one of many amazing culinary experiences, highlighting local ingredients and gourmet country cuisine.
Over the next four days explore 80,000 acres of open range with professional Siwash guides. The Wilderness Explorer Program is bound to please all! The best horse riding in Canada, hiking, kayaking, yoga, canoeing, SUPing fishing, shooting, archery, swimming in local lakes, rivers and waterfalls, foraging tours and excursions in the local area are all on the roster. Or perhaps simply enjoy some personal ‘time out’ with a massage.

Days 6, 7, 8 & 9: Find Yourself at Nimmo
Say good-bye to Siwash and board your seaplane to the wild playground of Nimmo Bay that is the Great Bear Rainforest. Weave the waters of the Broughton Archipelago, discovering all the mysteries that lie above and below. Based on the unique desires of every group, the adventure is a fluid, ever-changing journey. We provide our guests with a wide variety of activities, all focused on highlighting this glorious region. Adventurous guests have the chance to go paddle boarding, kayaking and hiking in remote locations surrounded by wildlife and awe-inspiring scenery. Or, sit back in the comfort of our fully enclosed boat. You’ll be surprised at the multitude of cultural experiences available on this wilderness and wildlife retreat, offering the opportunity to learn more about the rich history of the area and its deep spiritual ties to it’s people.
Lunch is always a gourmet picnic, served in a spectacular location: an isolated beach, next to a waterfall, or on board our vessel watching breaching whales and jumping dolphins. We strive to make it a special part of the day! For dinner, be prepared to indulge in a four-course meal back at the lodge. Nimmo features local fresh coastal cuisine, tailored to your needs by our creative culinary team. Finish your evenings wrapped up in warm blankets, listening to the snap and crackle of the fire. Star gaze as you share in music and stories on our floating fire dock.
