The Magnificent 7 would like to extend our warmest wishes to you this Holiday season. No matter how you celebrate, grab your family and friends, your dog or cat, or just a warm cuppa, and reflect on what you want. Peace on Earth is always top of the list. Barring that, connection, hope, and joy are all things worth considering.

Let us introduce you to the people we love, the reason we call ourselves “magnificent”. Our family.

THE MAGNIFICENT 7 FAMILY

NIMMO BAY WILDERNESS RESORT

Test their Theory of Hospitality

Einstein’s famous formula spurred the Murrays to brainstorm a theory for their family business. Expectations Exceeded = Memories Created: E2= MC. There it is, the Murray’s Theory of Hospitality. Craig and Deborah shared a vision almost 40 years ago, and year after year, guests have come to realize that the Murrays operate by this credo. “Creating memories to last a lifetime is something we live by at Nimmo Bay,” Craig explains. Fraser, Georgia, and Clifton (no longer kids) help make this dream a reality for all who come. Fraser’s wife Becky and cousin Jenny also help bring everything together, this really is family run! It’s why other families return, tell their friends and spread the word.

THE PACIFIC YELLOWFIN

Our Floating Family

Captain Colin can tell a yarn or two; his deft humour and easygoing charm make his crew his sea-faring family. Co-owner with his wife, the 140 ft long Pacific Yellowfin is their family adventure, and Captain is a master of seeking out and finding it. A lifelong lover of boats, he’s spent twenty years skimming the coast of B.C. The crew is dependable, quick-witted and keen to show others their breadth of knowledge about the area, and to introduce them to their circle of friends: scientists, first nations guides, artisans. Jack is the unseen ship magician – he keeps the engines running. Together, they make the Yellowfin what it is: the adventure of a lifetime.

SIWASH LAKE WILDERNESS RESORT

A Ranch Borne of Love for the Land

The founders of Siwash have over 100 years of familial inspiration! The fourth generation of ranchers, borne of a milieu of immigrants, First Nations, cowboys, farmers, mountaineers, and lovers of the great outdoors — you could say the land is in their blood. Their vision was to bring forth a true Canadian frontier ranch, one that harmoniously blends with the surrounding flora and fauna. The owners and their two kids have achieved this symbiotic masterpiece with Siwash Lake Wilderness Resort. They treat the land like it is family — as it is an extension of theirs. Siwash is an enchanting place; you can feel the love.

BELLA COOLA HELI SPORTS

Three…is the Magic Number

Beat, Swede, and Christian. Sounds like the beginnings of a rock band (or maybe a healthy salad)! It’s the three founders of Bella Coola Heli-Sports, and they all share a passion for skiing that is world renowned. They’ve assembled a stellar team of individuals who are some of the most experienced heliski guides in the world. They only take out groups of four or less, so that your group gets the most intimate one-on-one with the mountain possible. This family of ski bums has lots to smile about this holiday, as they were rated #1 in the world for best heliski operator in both 2017 and 2018! That can’t happen without a dedicated family of friends.
