The next morning stroll two minutes from your hotel and board your private seaplane. Captain Colin and the crew of the Pacific Yellowfin will be waiting for you at Heriot Bay on Quadra Island. For five days you will blissfully explore stunning Desolation Sound’s secret coves, lonely shorelines, spectacular fjords and looming mountains. Many adventures await such as visiting remote island communities, throwing down your own crab traps, swimming in the warmest waters North of Mexico, lessons in First Nations culture, fishing in pristine areas and paddling to your heart’s content. Feel like a kid again a slip into the ocean on the boat’s giant inflatable slide! Remove your wristwatch and simply live by the tides! And did we mention the food? We offer a culinary experience worthy of writing home about. Every meal is thoughtfully prepared and you will enjoy seafood feasts of a lifetime! All our guests leave the Yellowfin vowing to return someday soon!
Days 7, 8, 9 & 10 – Find Yourself at Nimmo
Bid farewell to Captain Colin and board your seaplane to the wild playground of Nimmo Bay that is the Great Bear Rainforest. Weave the waters of the Broughton Archipelago, discovering all the mysteries that lie above and below. Based on the unique desires of every group, the adventure is a fluid, ever-changing journey. We provide our guests with a wide verity of activities, all focused on highlighting this glorious region. Lunch is always a gourmet picnic, served in a spectacular location: an isolated beach, next to a waterfall, or on board our vessel watching breaching whales and jumping dolphins. We strive to make it a special part of the day! For dinner, be prepared to indulge in a four-course meal back at the lodge. Nimmo Bay features local fresh coastal cuisine, tailored to your needs by our creative culinary team. From our floating bakery and lodge kitchen right to your plate, we take pride in preparing all aspects of your meal in house (including all our breads, ice cream and even smoked salmon)! Finish your evenings wrapped up in warm blankets, listening to the snap and crackle of the fire. Star gaze as you share in music and stories on our floating fire dock.
